Notification of cancellation of registration must be sent in writing to the ISHGD2020 Symposium Secretariat at ishgd@congressbydesign.com.

  • For cancellations received up to and including April 30th 2020, a cancellation fee of 25% will be charged.
  • Name changes are accepted.
  • All refunds will be processed after the event.

Yes, your registration will be transferred. You don’t need to take any action.

We hope that all registrants will come to the symposium in 2021.

In accordance with our cancellation policy, you will receive a refund of 75% of the registration fee. Due to our financial position (and in accordance with the registration conditions), we are not able to pay the refund directly: the refund will be payed after the symposium in 2021.

In case you are not able to attend at the 2021 ISHGD featuring USS, you can transfer your registration to a colleague or another person (free of charge). The portal to make the changes will be open soon.

Yes, you can transfer your registration to a colleague. Contact Congress by design for instructions.

Yes, we will offer the same technical tours. The projects and areas that will be visited during the technical tours, may change.

Yes, we will offer the same workshops. In consultation with the workshop moderators, we will determine if the workshop program should be updated.

Please note that we can only provide you with an invitation letter for the ISHGD 2020 Symposium after we received your registration and payment. After the payment you will receive a link for the Letter of Invitation in the confirmation email. If you did not receive this link, please contact the ISHGD2020 Symposium secretariat at: ishgd@congressbydesign.com.

Cancel before one month prior to the event to avoid cancellation costs. Please contact Okura hotel for cancellation.

Holiday Inn Amsterdam Policies

FREE Cancellation until 4:00 PM local hotel time on Fri 12 Jun 2020. Please contact the Holiday Inn Amsterdam.

 Apollo Museum Hotel Policies

Modifications are allowed only before the 12th of June 2020. After this date we need to charge cancellation fee in full. In case the reservation is no show the reservation will be charged in full. Please contact the Apollo Museum Hotel.

Yes, you can still submit your paper. We did not receive all accepted papers.
If you want to submit your paper at a later date, please send a message to Congress by design.

We are evaluating the paper submission process and schedule for new papers. We expect to have this information available in the next few months.

Yes, authors will be given the opportunity to change their papers (if wanted).  A new due date to submit the revised papers will be established.

Hopefully all authors are loyal to ISHGD featuring the USS and will come to the symposium in 2021. . In case the author needs to withdraw their paper, please contact Congress by design, ISHGD@congressbydesign.com.

We accept payments by credit card, bank transfer and iDEAL (Dutch participants). If you choose to pay via bank transfer you will receive an automatic email including the invoice after your registration. We cannot accept payment by check or debit card. Any additional fees (e.g. bank charges) are at own expense. Payment of the applicable registration fee must be made within 14 days after registration and at least before June 17th 2021 otherwise the onsite registration fee applies.

If your name contains special characters this may cause errors during the payment procedure. In that case, please change your name in your contact details removing any special characters, so that you will be able to arrange the payment. If you send an email with your correct name to the ISHGD Symposium secretariat (Email address: ishgd@congressbydesign.com), we will change your name back in our system, so that your name will be presented correctly on your name badge.

Example special characters include: á, ä, â, ç ,ê, é, ë, î, ï, ñ, ö, õ, ô, ü.

If you would like to purchase dinner tickets utilizing a separate payment from your primary registration payment, please email ISHGD@congressbydesign.com to alert the Symposium Secretariat that you will need to purchase your ticket(s) on site. Please indicate how many dinner tickets you will be needing in your email. You will receive a reply with a payment link/new invoice in order to arrange the payment for the dinner tickets per credit card.

The ISHGD 2020 Symposium is offering a reduced registration fee to students. During the registration students need to upload an official student card valid till the end of the symposium.
